Can you believe the BBC have announced they will not be making any new episodes of In The Night Garden? We have planned to go and see In The Night Garden Live next week; I am upset that they are not going to be making any new episodes. Jack really enjoys watching and learning with his favourite characters. They are continuing to air repeats of the old episodes.
The BBC have axed the childrens TV show and are developing new shows involving new characters. The show was originally launched in 2007 and centres on the lives of four main characters - Igglepiggle, Upsy Daisy, Makka Pakka and the Tombliboos.
Andrew Davenport; the creator of In the Night Garden said the programme has been discontinued but there maybe some one-off specials produced.
BBC Worldwide head of UK licensing Richard Hollis said the series has come to an end and explained the corporation had only ever intended to purchase 100 episodes.
